Updated 29th of April 2005 Jane, Rica and Tyson passed the obedience trial a few days ago. We have some pictures of this trial to share with everybody. Unfortunately a lot of pictures did not have very good quality, so we were not able to use them. But some of them came out very nice.

5th of April 2005 Congratulations to "Astro vom Haus Jack" for passing the endurance trial (20 km). Astro is the brother of our Anja. He is living with his owner in Switzerland, beautiful country.

Bright and early at 7 AM they started on Sunday morning

During breaks the paws of the dogs have to be checked for any sores.

Here you see happy owners with their dogs, who just had passed the endurance trial

On Saturday, 13th November 2004 our sire "Tabaluga vom Steckenborn" had passed the highest level "VPG 3" in "schutzhund". Like before in the past there was not that much time to train for this upcoming trial, although in order to pass this test a lot of training is usually required in tracking, obedience and "schutzhund". As you can see below our training did get rewarded.

"Jane vom Haus Barrett" and "Rica vom Haus Barrett" passed the "obedience test" successfully. Congratulations to both owners of these beautiful animals

Trial 2004

"Jane vom Haus Barrett" 2nd to the left, "Rica vom Haus Barrett", 1st to the right and "Tabaluga" 2nd to the right

Obedience part, every task has to be shown without the dog being on a leash. Here we show just a few parts of the requirements in order to pass this trial "VPG 3".

Heeling without a leash

Heeling through a group of people with left and right turns

Sitting, standing and laying down on command

Bringing back the dumbbell over the 1 m wall, the high wall and on the ground

Schutzhund

Just barking at the "bad guy"; the dog is not allowed to bite

Heeling and keeping an eye on the "bad guy"

Sit, then lay down while keeping an eye on the "bad guy"; the owner of the dog has to step away from the dog

The "guy" tries to run away and without a command the dog has to stop him

On command "Aus" he has to let go instantly

The "bad guy" attacks the dog again, the dog has to stop him

As soon as the "bad buy" stands still, the dog has to let go

At the end of the "schutzhund" task

The so called "bad guy" is laughing now; his work is finished

Tabaluga as he hears the judge talking about his "performance"

This picture was taken, when everything was finished and we knew, that we had passed

Congratulations Tabaluga!
